I just can guess how happy your officemate is with his implant. Its like breaking free of all restrictions, Options will just be a matter of choice. That's what we really want for our daughter...we just can't settle for anything less. My husband and I will do everything to realize our dream for EC. Cochlear implant is GOD’s way of bringing happiness to those who are hearing impaired. I just can guess how happy your officemate is with his implant. My new officemate have that cochlear implant;it is so cool...all along I thought he's just sporting a bluetooth for his cellphone.Had he not told me about his hearing problem I will not know.As far as i know he's an advocate of cochlear implant.I'll share with him your plan for EC and hopefully explore some possibilities of support. It is a very fulfilling career, being able of help to children with special needs and thier families brings forth satisfaction that you can not get from anywhere/anything else.
